300-Gallon Water Storage Tank:

0

The 300-gallon water storage tank is a very good investment but with this gem comes precautionary measures. After you have purchased your aquatank you will want to take precautions to make sure you keep it for as long as you can. Some of these friendly reminders are to keep out of direct sunlight, keep all animals away from it, and keep all sharp objects away. These can be seen as common sense but some precautions might not be so obvious.

Now that you have made a wise investment and purchased your Aquatank you will need to take precautionary measures to get the most life out of the 300-gallon water storage tank. The most sensible precaution is to not stand, lie, or sit on the Aquatank. You also want to keep all sharp objects away. It is not advised to put any pressure on the Aquatank because doing so can bust the tank. The Aquatank is very durable and as a test, you may see people putting pounds and pounds on top of it, but to keep testing it wouldn’t be smart. The durability of the tank will make you think it can handle any weight on top of it, which is a good feature but not what the intended use of it is.

The 300-gallon water storage tank can be outside but should stay out of direct sunlight. The reason for this is because the sun can be so hot that when you go to get water you could touch the tank and possibly burn yourself. Direct sunlight can also damage the aquatank. Anytime something is held in the sun all day or for too long it can begin to affect it negatively. The sun can soften up the material which will make it less durable, resulting in a shorter life span.

Animals and pets can be seen as harmless but with the aquatank they could be seen as a threat. With your 300-gallon water storage tank, you will want to keep all animals away. Some animals may see the tank as a toy or even see it as threatening to them. If you put a small animal on the aquatank as it is filled up, it could get spooked by the jiggly water and attack the tank. A cat or dog could jump off in fear and in the midst of that put a hole in the tank from their nails. If your pet is playful, they could see it as a time to play and this will not be wise for the care of the Aquatank.

The 300-gallon water storage tank is made of heavy-duty polyurethane-coated nylon. This material is very durable. Although this material used to make the aquatank has strong chemical resistance, do not spill any oils, solvents, and chemicals on it. If a spill should occur, wipe it off immediately. No chemical except non-scented bleach to clean the tank should be used on the 300-gallon water storage tank. Any other chemical spilled on the tank and not wiped off immediately can do damage to the tank. Always be wary of any spill or leak potential. Place the aquatank in an area where leaks or spills will not affect anything else. If water spills onto the unit while filling, the water tends to migrate to the edge of the welded seams, which may appear that the unit is leaking, when it is not.

The 300-gallon water storage tank can be folded up and stored away in a safe, cool, dry, and clean place. When you are done using the aquatank you can fold it away in a room temperature place, not too cold or not too hot. It is advised that you not store it in your attic. You want to also stay away from any sharp objects that could poke the aquatank. If you want to add flavor to your drinking water you can do so but only in a cup. Do not add any flavored water in the tank itself. Nothing but water should go into the aquatank. No petroleum products should be placed in the tank either.

A lot of the precautionary measures that you want to take with the aquatank are common sense. If you happen to question if you should or shouldn’t do something with the tank then the answer is don’t. It is better to be more safe than sorry when it comes to the 300-gallon water storage tank.
